Rachel from Captivated Visions has come up with a new challenge at the Gotta Pixel Forum. It’s called; All Stacked Up With Rachel. It’s a real cool challenge. Rachel provides you with a very nice stacked template and then you have to make a lay out with it.
The stacked template is really pretty, so that’s a bonus on itself, but… If you participate you also get her Bellis Perennis Mini Kit as a bonus. It’s really a win-win situation to take on the challenge. A template AND a beautiful mini-kit.
Ofcourse I already have posted my lay out in the gallery. On the photo you can see a photo of my hubby and me when we were on a long bus trip and started taking pictures to pass the time.
I used the kit Cutie Pie by Captivated Visions.

One of my favorite challenges at the Gotta Pixel Forum is the Simply Sketch with Laura Challenge. Laura always provides us with a beautiful template and the challenge for us is to make a nice lay out with it. I really liked the template for the March challenge as it gave me room for four pictures.
I took four pictures of my mum. The shots were taken in November 2008 when we were out for the day at the Australia Zoo.
I used Kisses from heaven kit by Armina Designs. I really like the end result, but am wondering if maybe it would have been nicer if I had framed the pictures. Anyhow, the picture on the left shows my entry to the challenge.

Another great challenge at the Gotta Pixel Forum; The Grab Bag Challenge. The challenge for March is inspired by St. Patrick’s Day and the luck of the Irish. You get to choose out of seven sayings about luck. Each saying comes with a set of requirements for your lay out.
Here are the seven sayings
1. “Depend on the rabbit’s foot if you will, but remember it didn’t work for the rabbit.” – R. E. Shay.
2. “The only sure thing about luck is that it will change.” – Wilson Mizner
3. “Better an ounce of luck than a pound of gold.” – Yiddish Proverb.
4. “Throw a lucky man in the sea, and he will come up with a fish in his mouth.” – Arab Proverb
5. “The champion makes his own luck.” – Red Blaik.
6. “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.” – President Thomas Jefferson
7. “Luck never gives; it only lends.” – Proverb.
I picked the quote “The champion makes his own luck” by Red Blaik. And this is the lay out I made with the set requirements.

Finally!!! The issue that made it impossible to upload our entries into the Brag Book Exchange Gallery have been solved and I was able to upload my entry into the right gallery.
I have to say that so far there have been some really awesome brag book pages uploaded and I can not wait to see what the rest of the Brag Book Exchange participants have created.
Go check out the Brag Book Exchange Gallery and if you like what you see, make sure you sign up for it as well so you get to download all of the pages at the 15th of March. The only condition is that you have to make one page as well. Easy!!!

I have been wanting to scrap these pictures of my mum with my sick nephew (leukemia) for a while now, but for some reason it has taking me ages to make a lay out that I actually liked. I have played with it for days only to delete every lay out I made untill today…
When I saw the kit “The Heart of Nature” by Lilibule I just knew it was the perfect kit for these pictures. And.. at the moment you can even download this kit for free. Click here to go to the boutique for a free download.
To see a larger version of the lay out click on the picture. Let me know what you think of the lay out.
