I gained 3 kg

By Dutsji | August 22, 2008

After I finally got my bum back into the gym yesterday I managed to go back to the gym again today. I decided to wait with my weight training, because my neck muscles are still aching from the session at the chiropractor. It’s a different neck pain than I usually have so I don’t really want to push it. Cardio training is just fine for now.

Today I also finally stepped on the weighting scale and that was a serious reality check for me; 81.8 kg. Yes, I had to let it sink in. It  means that I have gained 3 kilo’s. Here I was thinking that I did well with eating healthy. I know I did not exercise but gaining 3 kilo’s is a big bummer.  I can’t really explain it. But I won’t let it discourage me, if anything it fires me up to get back on the weight loss band wagon.

Cardio Work Out

  • 35 min. Bike - level 7 - 90/95 rpm
  • 35 min. Treadmill - 5.6 km/h - 5% incline.

Glad to see you are fired up, but there are times that our bodies just hold more water or weight more because of hormones. I look at my overall size more then I do my weight.

Of course, if you are now super-charged towards fitness, that is totally awesome!

Yeah, you possibly holding more water was the first thing I thought of also. But Doris is right, it’s best to check the mirror and not the scale as that would give you the best accuracy.

    Stay motivated and keep going!

Yes, the same thing happened to me (many times). I went to my doctor for help. He was no help. I finally gave up and figured that there was no use even trying any more. I had resigned myself to being fat for the rest of my life.

A couple of years ago, I found out why I could not lose the weight despite exercising and dieting like crazy. Now, I’m not even trying to lose weight and it is coming off and staying off. click on the follwoing link and read my story,
