Body Balance
The last time I went to the gym was last Friday, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been active. I’ve been pretty active around the house with doing some long over due chores in the garden (our house is on a sloop) and in the house. It has been wearing me down and gave me lots of aching muscles, but I’m not complaining because I’m glad it’s done.
Today I finally went back to the gym with fresh enthusiasm and started with a cardio work out. After approximately 50 minutes an instructor walked up to me and asked if I wanted to try out Body Balance. Since I’ve never done that before but heard it helps improve your flexibility (I’m as flexible as a door because of the fused discs in my back and neck) so I decided to give it a go. According to the gym Body Balance is:
A class that reinforces and strength, combining the best of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates. Truly a fitness class for the 21st century. Body Balance brings mind and body into perfect harmony. Try this revolutionary, holistic approach to fitness.
Well, it sounded good and it was good too. At fist I felt a bit silly, because I am so inflexible there were a lot of exercise I struggled with and my balance is really crap. But… I plan on continuing with this class so I can improve all that.
