8 Week Challenge - Day 54
I hate how no one seems to know a thing about the 8 Week Challenge. I asked at the reception of the gym about our official final weigh-in for the challenge, but the answer was: “Yeah, they are going to go through all the measurements and weight and they will tell you the results”. The information in our manual is OR incorrect OR no one seems to know what’s going on. Every one is pointing to someone else when it comes to doing the measurements and the weigh in. It’s annoying the crap out of me.

8 Week Challenge - Day 53
Today I was finally back in the gym, I can’t tell you how happy I was. I could also finally weigh myself again. I was hoping I would have lost weight, with all the vomiting and diarrhea. And I was right; I weight in at 78.8 kilo, a loss of 0.8 kilo. I was struggling a bit with the cardio, but that was expected after being sick. In the evening I jumped on the stationary bike at home to burn off some extra calories.
Cardio
- 30 min. Cross trainer - level 3 - 12/13 km/h
- 30 min. Bike riding - level 7 - 80/90 rpm
- 90 min. Bike riding - level 1 - 20 km/h
8 Week Challenge - Day 46 untill 52
Nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, puking, hot and cold sweats, overwhelming depression, etc. That is just a few symptoms of what I have been going through the last week. To make a long story short; I’ve been sick and I’ve been pretty pissed off about it.
This is my last week of my 8 week challenge and I was hoping that I would power through this week and finish it in a strong way. Instead I’ve been laying in bed with what I thought was just a migraine but turned out to be a bit more.
Fortunately I am feeling a little bit better today and I hope to be back in the gym tomorrow.
8 Week Challenge - Day 45
I was really looking forward to doing the body combat class today, especially after missing it last week due to car problems. Last night I had a real bad headache and I thought that this morning I felt a bit better. That was until I hit the gym.
I did a warm up, did my resistance training and had time left before the body combat class would start. To fill up the time I jumped on the cross trainer. That’s when I started to feel bad; I had trouble focusing, my head started to hurt again and my arms and legs could not stop shaking. I decided that it was better for me to listen to my body and go home.
Cardio
- 15 min. Cross trainer - level 6 - 13/14 km/h
Resistance
- 2x 15 reps Chest press 30 kg
- 2x 15 reps Seated row 40 kg

- 3x 10 reps Squats with ball
- 2x 15 reps Bicep curl 6 kg
8 Week Challenge - Day 44
Today I had another appointment with my personal trainer - this time for a half hour cardio session. I don’t think my heart rate has ever been so high during my cardio work out; even my chest was hurting. Before my session with my PT I jumped on the bike for 25 minutes and afterwards I walked on the treadmill for half an hour.
Cardio
- 25 min. Bike riding - level 8 - 95/100 rpm
- Rowing - 500 m. & 250 m. sprint
- 15 min. Spinning Interval - hardcore intensity
- 30 min. Treadmill - 5.6 km/h
