Going outdoors
Now that I can’t go to the gym and the swimming pool is closed, I have to find other ways to exercise. One of my favorite things to do is to go to National Parks and explore. Fortunately for me there is a National Park not far from where I live. They have numerous hiking trails and best of all you can see lots of great wildlife if you take your binoculars or spotting scopes with you. Sometimes if you are lucky you can even see some animals up close.
If you like to spend your time outdoors, you might want to take a look at OpticsPlanet.net. They have a great range of brand name optics, hobbyist gear and tactical gear for competitive prizes. Whether you are after binoculars, flashlights, sunglasses, night vision, rifle scopes, tripods for your digital camera or more, OpticsPlanet.net can equip you for your next trip. The site has a best prize guarantee and they offer free shipping on most of the orders over $29.95. Personally I am saving up for a Telescope, because I like watching the stars on a clear night.
Can’t go to the gym
To say that I am pissed off is an understatement. It’s only been two months ago that I picked up my car from the garage and now I had to bring it back again. Last time it was a blown head gasket, but this time it’s something with the gear box. I have a little automatic car and it doesn’t want to shift from third gear into fourth. Isn’t it funny how life throws unexpected stuff at you when you can not afford it?
Anyway, it means that once again I don’t have a car that can bring me to the gym. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I hope they fix it soon, because I’m itching to do my weight training. Fortunately I have an exercise bike at home so at least I can do a bit of cardio.
Exercise 12th of June
Last night I felt really bad; a huge headache and the muscles in my neck were very tense. So I decided to have go to bed early. I actually slept in until 9am which is very unusual for me. I went to the gym about an hour after I got up. I started of with a 10 minute warm up on the cross trainer and had no problems, but as soon as I hit the weights my heart rate got out of control and after a bit I felt really dizzy and nauseous. I actually had to lay down for a bit because I thought I would vomit my guts out.
Because my muscles were aching really bad after my last weight training I decided to do 2 sets instead of 3. The muscle pain was so bad that it stopped me from going to the gym on Tuesday and not giving it a 100% on Wednesday. Hopefully the 2 sets will go better.
After laying down for a bit I felt a bit better and I jumped on the bike (pretty stupid I know). I tried to stay on level 6 but the nauseous feeling came back so I put it back to level 1 and just took it easy from there. I did half an hour and decided to stop after that. I don’t know why I felt so crap today, hopefully it won’t happen again.
